Bob,

I found this from my brief correspondence with Glenn.

I had forwarded this to my sons, Brian (6-5-85) and Jeremy (8-31-83), etc., on my 46th birthday, last year.  Now I'm rolling it up and forwarding it to you.  (Do not break the chain or you will receive bad luck.)

Let me know if you have trouble with any of the pictures.  They, and many others, are online in this web directory.

Enjoy,

AKH

Hi.

Brian & Jeremy just called to wish me a happy 46th birthday, and I told them I thought they might enjoy getting a copy of this letter I just sent to a high school classmate who contacted me unexpectedly a few days ago.  Then, as I started preparing to send this, I realized that others might enjoy it as well.  Please understand -- I'm not so vain that I think many of you (any?) would be interested in catching up on my high school class.  I just thought some of you might be vicariously amused.  And, yes, I know many of you will see various messed up formatting in your copy of this message, because of the inconsistencies between your email application and mine.  Sorry about that.  Some day we'll all have nice, consistent email app's, and we'll look back on the days of AOL, Yahoo, & Hotmail, shake our heads, and laugh.

Alan,

Nice hearing from you. Your resume is quite impressive. It reads almost like Bill Gates but is more technical than his.
Thanks, I think.  I admire Bill and am a lot like him.  Just move the decimal point over about 4 places.
Ah, good old Uncle Jake(Ruggierio). I have no idea where he is however he is probably partying there.
As with your name, Ruggierio sounds very familiar, but I'm not sure I have the right face associated with it.  I guess I need to do even more Jedediac research.  Was he in the '74 class?
No, the jacket and bowtie are history.
Too bad.  I have a similar outfit.  I don't wear it very often, but I like to slip into it every now and then for particularly zany parties, ... or ones that weren't zany enough before my arrival ...
I'm fine and living in Coral Springs,FL with my wife and 3 children ages 16,13,and 11.
I have two boys, 18 & 16.  They are Jeremy & Brian Hunt, so I am reminded of them whenever I pass a "JBHUNT" truck.  I recently married a wonderful woman (see Alan & Shamim - Friday, July 13, 2001) who has three, aged 14, 11, & 8, so we have five total, but none of the kids live with us.
I recently retired from my Cardiology practice and started 21st Century Medical Scanning ... see website at www.scanbody.net  . It's been slow starting in this economy but is showing signs of acceptance and business is growing every month.
Good for you.  I noticed the slow economy.  I'm very fortunate to be working for one of the few high-tech firms that is actually prospering particularly well in the current economic & political climate.  We are the leading provider of business collaboration technology (i.e., audio & video teleconferencing, etc.), which is in great demand while businesses are determined to cut travel and its associated expenses.
Since you were able to put our old yearbook page in your last e-mail with my picture, why don't you e-mail your old yearbook picture so I can remember exactly who you are as I suffer from the same memory malady as you do. Ah, isn't age wonderful!!!
Age is indeed wonderful.  I'm looking forward to reaching 120, ... but I can wait.  Here are some more Jedediac pages:

Poor Karen Reynolds.  She was a very nice girl.  I took her to play doubles tennis once, I think it was with Tim Carney & Linda VanWaes.  Karen was my partner, and she made the mistake of trusting me enough to look back at me while I served.  I smashed one right at her nose, snapping her glasses in twain.  She was very nice about it, but her face was quite red and swollen, ... I felt very bad ... probably not bad enough.  Knowing me as I do, I'm sure I laughed quite a bit, out loud, among feeble sighs of "I'm so sorry!"
Hear from you soon.

P.S. Are we having a High School Reunion?
I have no idea.
I went to the 10 year reunion at Valley View and it was very interesting.
Good for you.  Valley View?  The only Valley View I remember is a street in Dallas, so I assume you're speaking of something else.  Is it a well-known country club?  In any case, you've found one of my many areas of ignorance.
We had decided at that time to do a 25 year reunion but that would have been in 1999 and I didn't hear anything about it. Are you in touch with anyone from our class?
I haven't been back to New Hartford since my parents moved away in '75 or '76.  I've been back to Upstate NY a few times, many years ago, but not New Hartford, and the only friend I continue to keep in touch with is Mark Carter, who moved to Sacramento, CA just after graduation.  I've also had a few occasional conversations with Larry Droz, and my old girlfriend, Gayle Zalatan ('75), who is now Gayle Claflin and living in Georgia, ... or was last time I heard.  I haven't heard anything about any reunions.
I am only still close with Steve Lichtman from that class who is in Boston.
Oh, I meant to look up Steve Lichtman, but I forgot.  Please let me know if you hear about a reunion or anything related, and please pass a "Howdy!" on to Steve or whoever else you bump into who might care.

Best wishes in your new business venture, retirement, etc.

Zeke!

Your name sounded very familiar, but since I forget even my children's names, I had to eventually turn to my '74 Jedediac for help.  I remember when my hair looked almost exactly like yours in that picture.  Do you still have that jacket & bow-tie?  Can I rent them?  Seeing the page makes me wonder how Diane is doing now.  Diane and I lived next door to each other on Wedgewood.  Her dad, (Art Mettelman, I think), was our family dentist.

Thanks for the message, and for being interested enough to visit my goofy website.  I suppose you found it via www.Google.com?  I know the website is indeed goofy and confusing, so I'm not surprised that you were left wondering what (the heck) I do.  I do have a link to my resume there on the home page, but the page is so cluttered with other stuff that you probably missed it.  If you really want to read it, you can click HERE.  But, in short, I am a "signal scientist."  I've done mostly speech and image processing.  Currently I'm doing audio signal processing for Polycom.

So, by the way, how are you?  And, where the heck is Uncle Jake?
